I would like to respectfully appeal the copyright removal, as I am certain that I have not shared or used any copyrighted material belonging to others.
All the images and materials I post are created entirely by myself, using original illustrations and cartoon-style artwork. My work is transformative and satirical in nature, and therefore falls under legitimate use and expression protected by law.
Under the EU Copyright Directive (Directive 2019/790, Article 17), the Berne Convention, and general fair use / fair dealing principles, parody, satire and commentary are explicitly recognized as forms of transformative expression that do not constitute copyright infringement. My content clearly falls within these categories, as it represents social commentary and creative expression rather than reproduction of any existing works.
Broader pattern of misuse
It is relevant to note that this situation fits into a larger pattern.
My previous Facebook page was removed following similar complaints, apparently initiated by the same attorney. This individual has repeatedly filed copyright reports against profiles, pages and images that contain no copyrighted material whatsoever.
This raises the concern that copyright mechanisms may be used as a tool to silence lawful expression, criticism and satire. When legal pressure is used to suppress commentary rather than protect creative rights, it becomes a freedom-of-speech issue — not a copyright issue.
Jurisdictional concerns
Additionally, I have learned that my page is now inaccessible from both Brazil and the United States, which raises procedural and jurisdictional questions.
It appears that the reporting party — a lawyer based in Brazil — may have used VPNs or cross-border reporting methods to target my account. This further suggests an abuse of process and misuse of Meta’s reporting tools.
Request
I respectfully request that Facebook/Meta:
- Review this case thoroughly
- Restore the removed content
- Examine whether repeated misuse of the copyright system is taking place
- Ensure that lawful, transformative, satirical expression is not being wrongfully removed
My work does not infringe on any rights.
It is fully original and constitutes legitimate artistic and satirical expression.
